Hazards
No specific hazards for humans or ecological hazards are known.
Adblue is not a hazardous material or substance in the meaning of applicable legislation.
It is rated as harmless according to the EU Directive 67/548/EEC on chemicals.
AdBlue is slightly water polluting within the meaning of VwVwS Annex 2. (water polluting class WGK 1, for Germany only)
AdBlue is not combustible. In the event of fire, adjust fire fighting measures to the environment. Ammonia, being a hazardous substance, may be released.
AdBlue is slightly alkaline with a pH of 9.0 so prolonged skin contact may cause irritation
AdBlue is not subject to identification requirements according to EC directives or national legislation.
General Notes
Spilled product may cause slippage. Be sure to properly remove any spillages.
Do not dispose of into sewers or into the ground or surface water, Remove into suitable containers, and dispose. Flush away very small residues with water.
Avoid skin contact. Latex gloves should be worn in possible.
Thoroughly wash your hands before going for a break, or finishing work.
If it gets into your eyes immediately rinse with lots of water.
If swallowed, rinse your mouth with lots of water, drink a lot of water, and see a doctor.
If there is continued discomfort or indisposition seek medical advice.
Disposal
AdBlue should be properly disposed in line with applicable legislation. Waste should be rated according to its origin and in line with the European waste catalogue. It is recommended to use waste ID No. 06 10 99 (waste from the manufacture, formulation, processing or use of nitrogen-containing chemicals from the nitrogen industry, or from the manufacture of fertilisers, wastes not mentioned elsewhere).
Any packaging contaminated with AdBlue and not suited for further use should be treated similarly to the substance itself. Such packaging may be re-used after having been completely emptied giving due consideration to any applicable regulation.
